Traveling to the conference venue

The 2019 ICU conference will take place at Campus Vives in Bruges. You can reach this campus on foot, by bus or by car.

On foot

The Vives Campus is situated about 3.2 km (2 miles) from the citycenter of Bruges and about 1.6 km (1 mile) from the train station. It is a 20-minute walk from the train station to the Vives Campus. The map below gives further directions.

Coming from the back-side of the station (Sint-Michiels side), you cross the road towards the Koning Albert I-Laan. After the roundabout, turn left into the Veldstraat. Follow this street for 800 meters. Turn right onto the Koningin Astridlaan, and then immediately left onto the Xaverianenstraat.

 

By bus

To travel from the Bruges train station to the conference venue, we advise you to take line 25 (city center - railway station - Sint-Michiels - Sint-Andreas). You will see the route of this bus on the map below.

By car

There are 450 parking spaces available on the campus grounds. Coming from the inland, the campus can be reached via the expressway N31. Take the service road on the expressway, afterpassing the Kinepolis exit.

Coming from the coast you can enter the campus via the round about Koningin Astridlaan / Expresweg N31. Drive towards Koningin Astridlaan / Church Sint-Michiels and immediately turn right, before the first apartment building.

ATTENTION: You cannot enter the campus by car through the Xaverianenstraat. It is best to enter "Koningin Astridlaan" into your GPS. GPS coordinates: 51.186529, 3.202218.

If the parking around the campus building is full, you can also park on the extra parking “Veemarkt”, located at Koningin Astridlaan 110.

You can only leave the campus via the service road of the expressway.
